Introducing our 2026-27 President, Leah De Hoyos!
“My name is Leah, and I’m a junior Education major with a minor in Philosophy from Pharr, Texas. I joined Arrows when I first came to A&M, so I got the best of both worlds: learning what it meant to be an Aggie and what it meant to be an Arrow. I had the chance to find such an amazing group of girls because of a flyer that was handed to me at Club Crawl, formerly known as MSC Open House. Because of that flyer, I’ve spent so much of my time with girls who I have not only grown alongside, but who have also taught me so much about friendship, leadership, and myself. Gaining a sisterhood was never something freshman-year Leah expected, but looking back, I know that somehow, all roads would have led me to Arrows.”

I’ve met a ton of amazing people and found a true sisterhood. Since joining I have become a better version of myself and I am forever grateful to this organization for everything it has given me. I’m so excited to be a part of this leadership team and can’t wait to see what this semester has in store!”

I’m happiest when I’m outdoors, whether it it’s hiking at a national park, finding a new place to explore, or just laying in my hammock reading a good book and enjoying the sunset. When I joined Arrows in the spring of my freshman year, what stood out to me right away was how comfortable I felt being myself. I never felt like I had to change anything about myself to fit in, and every girl I met made me feel genuinely seen and valued. That was something I knew I wanted in my college experience, and I’m so grateful I found it in AGA!I hope to carry that feeling forward this year and help our new members find the same place of belonging that made Arrows so special to me.”
