Heyy! I’m Katherine and I’m super excited to be your Co-Social Chair Director for this year!!
I’m a senior pursuing my bachelors of science in Psychology and am also on the pre-nursing track. I’m originally from Houston, but moved to Austin not long ago and loveeee it there.
I joined Arrows because…well…let’s be for real, there are lot of organizations that “promote“ diversity but lack the compassion to include students that come from ALL diverse backgrounds. Aggie Arrows does more than just advertise diversity, this organization does so much to create a healthy, welcoming, and open-minded community. I have met some of the best people from this organization who allow me to explore all the complexities of my identity. To us, you’re more than just someone who meets a certain quota, you’re a new person to befriend and love.
My goal is to serve y’all. My philosophy as a leader is to always do my best to represent the people around me. I want everyone to feel safe, included, and most of all have a memorable year! I hope you’ll find everything you’re looking for and more with us.

HELLOOO :) My name is Vanessa Contreras and I’n the Co-Social Chair for Aggie Arrows this year! I’m a senior Public Health major on the pre-dental route in hopes of becoming a pediatric dentist. I LOVEE playing basketball, skating, napping, and hanging out with friends and family! Some of my favorite artists are Taylor Swift, The Driver Era, BENEE, Harry Styles, and Justin Bieber (HUGE Belieber and Swiftie <3)

As a Hispanic, queer woman, I struggled  with feeling like I fit in with the majority here at Texas A&M. I saw an email about a women’s organization that valued women empowerment and diversity and it drew me in immediately. I attended an informational and felt so welcomed by everyone, and when I had my interview with our current president Aaliyah Torres, I knew I was home. I was able to effortlessly be myself and was just so comfortable around her, despite being extremely anxious beforehand. It wasn’t until my second semester in Arrows that I fully became involved and really put myself out there, and I now have the most amazing friends because of it. It has truly been a life changing experience being surrounded by such strong, incredible women who have the same values that I do. I have made SO many memories with these girls in such a short amount of time that I will cherish for the rest of my life. As Co-Social Chair, I hope to create a fun environment that also allows everyone to express themself in anyway they desire, while meeting so many new, genuine people. I can’t wait to meet the Bows and I’m so excited to see what this year has to offer! <3
